Good morning! I always say how quickly the weeks roll around. Well this time it's an entire year that's flown by!

This has been a year beyond my wildest expectations. We learned, we shared, we laughed, we prayed, we cried, we grew.

If you would have told me 13 years ago when I began my journey – September 4, 2006, that I’d be SO blessed to be able to enjoy each and every day as I am now, I woulda thought you were crazy.  Of course a HUGE part of that is you folks, my incredible clientele! I am so honored, humbled and blessed that you let me into lives, your kitchens and yes your households too! What a unique and special connection we have.  Thank you so much for allowing me that.

Wish I would have collected data on just how many pounds were lost!! (ooh perhaps something to incorporate this coming year!!) Though those pounds may be measurable, what can NEVER be measured is what we’ve all GAINED!  That doesn’t stop as this INCREDIBLE LIFE STYLE never ceases to GIVE us back. Oh the daily energy, the insight, the clarity, the vitality, vim and vigor, the knowledge, the fulfillment, the strength, the pride, the creativity -  grows each day with no end in sight!!

May the coming year bring you, your families and loved ones -  ease, comfort, clarity, enriching experiences, delightful discoveries, fulfillment, prosperity, success, an overabundance of joy, peace, love, laughter, blessings  and happiness the likes you’ve never thought possible!!

And of course at the very tippy top of the list as ALWAYS – excellent health!!  Let’s create a year beyond our wildest dreams!

And now I’d love to share with you some incredibly powerful words, copied and pasted from the Soveya newsletter from the wonderful Rabbi Eli Glaser:
“We say in our Rosh HaShana prayers: "טובים לחיים וכתוב – And inscribe (us) for a good life.” As we all know, a good life starts with good health. Good health starts with good eating – for proper nutrition is the fuel that gives our body its energy, vitality and wellbeing to learn Torah and do mitzvos. What’s Our Part? We beseech HaShem with all of our heart to judge us favorably this year – to give us life, a livelihood and a sound peace of mind. “ . . . who will live and who will die . . . who will live in harmony and who will be harried . . . who will be impoverished and who will be enriched . . .” But what’s our part? Can we honestly ask HaShem to value us if we don’t value the body He gave us to function in this world? Are we going to return home after a long day of davening only to lose ourselves in the meal awaiting us? We have such a wonderful and immediate opportunity to back up our words of prayer through deeds of action by enjoying the special yom tov foods while still eating appropriate amounts that leave us healthy and invigorated, not bloated and fatigued. How many of us have risen to such elevated spiritual heights, only to fress our way to a freefall of indulgence minutes later? It doesn’t have to be that way this year. We can ask for a good life from HaShem at shul and show we mean it through our actions at the dining room table at home.”

Shanah Tovah Umetukah!!! Vicki
