Peaches!One of G-d's greatest gifts. Get em' while they are still in season. Yummm. Serve this to guests or eat the entire thing for yourself as either a lunch or dinner. EAT. Don't be afraid. Yes, I know it's the complete opposite of everything you've heard about "dieting". Which is precisely why you need to eat this, all of it!! Dieting, deprivation, pre-packaged potions and barely there bars do not work long term.
Anyone can lose weight; I just figured out a way to do it - permanently, happily, healthily, delightfully and deliciously while never feeling deprived or hungry. I figured out a way to do it so my whole family can join in. This is NOT a case of, "mom finally wants to get healthy - family you're on your own" I figured out a way to do it where there is joy and pleasure. I figured out a way to do it for LIFE. Double entendre' intentional.
So here's a salad recipe (link at the bottom) that needs a bit of tweaking..
I'm cutting down greatly (or eliminating) the cheese, almonds and oil.
And I'm
GREATLY increasing the greens,
And adding in:
- diced or sliced kirbys
- fresh raw sliced beets (of course roasted works too)
- shredded red cabbage
- sliced red peppers
- A 1/4 cup of either: edamame, quinoa or red lentils
EAT people eat. Lots. After you finish eating you should be stuffed;
No longer hungry is NOT
the aim or intention.
It's to be filled in your stomach.
Where you FEEL it in your stomach.
Filled to capacity with nutrient rich complex carbs that make you FULLER an hour after you eat them (as they expand and continue to be digested) as opposed to the simple carbs that are basically pre-digested and are therefore out of your system in considerably less an hour.
Eat a powerful lunch and empower yourself all day and all night and all life long!
