Today's lunch. Back to basics. Sometimes ya just want a good ole' fashioned simple chopped salad. And today was one of those days!

About a minute to cut this big beauty all nice and uniform, just the right size, using my chopper. LOVE this thing. I will post the link later. It's romaine hearts, red onion, Kirby cucumbers, plum tomatoes. 




I opened up a can of Target tuna (I like their brand!), drained it and kinda broke it up right there in the can. 


Combined it all, sprinkled with salt and a few splashes of balsamic vinegar.

Lots of fork to mouth action, lots of chewing -this is KEY to LONGterm satisfaction (babies need to suck, adults need to CHEW) lots of taste, texture, nutrition, energy and of course actual FOOD that fills up my STOMACH.

your head and your tastebuds will catch up!!

Add-ins (but not today, not for me anyway :) )
Black olives
Colored Peppers
Shredded Carrots
Shredded or cubed raw or cooked beets, yes, I did say raw (YUMMM!)
Shredded Red Cabbage
Sliced Sugar Snap Peas
